Based in Stratford, just a short ten minute walk from the Olympic Stadium at the East Thames Housing Association and open to the public from 27th July 2012 – 12th August 2012, the venue is superbly located for those visiting the stadium and surrounding areas during the Games, or for those simply wanting to soak up some Olympic spirit a stone’s throw from the action.

Did you know? Kenya holds over 50 percent of world athletics medals.

“The Olympic Games capture the imagination of the world and is a time of both national pride and global goodwill.” Said Mary Kimonye, Brand Kenya CEO.

Kenya is one of the world’s leading sporting nations and the Games present an opportunity to showcase a full range of the county’s assets including exports, investment potential and some of the strongest Kenyan Brands.

The UK remains one of Kenya’s top export markets and source markets for tourism, so this is a fantastic opportunity for the country.

Kenya House, London 2012 Olympics
Kenya House is a window into the wealth of unique opportunities the country has to offer, from visionary investments and trading ideas to its rich cultural heritage and dominance in tourism to Africa.

The House will be open to the public for a number of events showcasing trade, tourism and export opportunities in the country.

Plus, visitors will also be able to watch live coverage of the Kenyan team competing in their various disciplines on the House’s big screens.

Throughout the Games visitors will have the chance to learn about the destination from a permanent exhibition showcasing Kenya’s past, present and future.

The exhibition will include a replica of the Turkana Boy, the most complete early human skeleton ever found, dating back 1.5 million years.

Visitors will be able to rub shoulders with the athletes themselves throughout the Games and enjoy cultural performances when the House will be alive with Kenyan entertainment.

Visitors can sample local food, win fantastic prizes and celebrate the athletes’ performances as they happen.

Sunday 12th August will see the House commemorate ‘Kenya Day’ in honour of the men’s marathon final and arguably Kenya’s strongest ever field of athletes.
