3 Days 2 Nights Maasai Mara National Reserve Safari itinerary

Day 1. Nairobi- Maasai Mara National Reserve You will depart to Masai Mara passing through the highly agricultural highlands of the eastern escarpment of the Great Rift Valley you will have a stopover at view point. At 2,200 meters above the sea level, views of mount Longonot hundreds of meters below on the rift valley floor are spectacular. Lake Naivasha-the highest in altitude of the Rift Valley lakes sparkles at a distance. Descend the escarpment to Narok town then proceed to Masai Mara. On arrival at the Siana Springs Tented Camp, check in and be guided to your tents. Lunch is served at the camp . Spend the afternoon acclimatizing to the African wilderness and after tea, head for a game drive in search of the ‘Big Five’ and other mammals and birdlife that roam the vast plains. ‘Big Five’ is a term once coined to a group of mammals for their might in being hunted down.

Day 2. Maasai Mara National Reserve After breakfast, Spend the day in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five - lion,leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant also the Wildebeests . Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend entire day in the park, or you can choose to have early morning and late afternoon game drives. Masai Mara is also home to the Mara-Serengeti Ecosystem hosting an annual million strong migration of wildebeest and zebra in search of greener pastures. This phenomenon has made this ecosystem one of the world’s natural wonders. At dusk, return to the camp for dinner and overnight. Optional Activity in Masai Mara:
•There’s also an opportunity to visit a local Maasai village or ‘boma’– an intriguing cultural experience to witness how this nomadic tribe live in harmony with nature and the wilderness (entrance fee USD $ 20 Per person payable at the boma)
•Hot air balloon safari USD $ 450 Per Person (payable extra) is highly recommended. You are woken up early and driven to the launch site for the hot air balloon safari over the plains. On landing, enjoy a ‘Bush Breakfast’ then enjoy a short game drive en-route back to the camp.
•Spend the rest of the morning at leisure or choose to go on a guided bird or nature walk (extra payable directly).
Day 3. Maasai Mara National Reserve –Nairobi City After an early morning breakfast we will have a game drive en-route to Nairobi City. We will have stop-overs in the towns to give you a chance to buy souvenirs. Arriving in Nairobi in the late afternoon.
