The week long celebrations run until Sunday 27th September 2009 with special focus on the Kenya’s Western region. A road show caravan flagged of by Kenya’s minister of Tourism Hon Najib Balala will pass through the scenic Hells Gate National Park in Naivasha, Lake Nakuru – now an internationally acclaimed bird sanctuary , the lake city of Kisumu before ending up in Kakamega town, the venue of the World Tourism Day activities here in Kenya.

The focus on the Western circuit is expected to bring to the fore many attractive sites within the region and its environs that are not well known to the indigenous community.
