KIJANI MUSIC FESTIVAL IN KENYA
Captivating music, breathtaking choreography, awe inspiring scenery and an enchanting atmosphere; this is what this years’ Kijani Music Festival guarantees to deliver.

This years’ theme is entitled, ‘The International Festival of Magical Music and Dance’.

It promises to be a tantalizing fusion of classical music, ballet, Kenyan and Indian dance; all performed by world famous artists.

KIJANI MUSIC FESTIVAL IN KENYAThe magic begins from the 26th of February until 7th March.

This special fundraising tour will bring together some of the world's finest and most diverse musical talents using some of Africa’s most dramatic natural and historic backdrops to add a unique flavor to the production.

The Kijani Music Festival has become a ‘must see event’ and is recognized internationally. Since its debut event ‘Carmen Comes to Kenya’ in 2004, the Kijani Music Festival remains the only festival of its kind in East Africa.

The Kijani Music Festival has presented international performers to the Kenyan art scene.  It has also encouraged the growth of classical music in the country as well as bringing a platform for alternative music such as Kenyan Jazz as well as Indian and African dance.

Kijani Kenya Trust uses the proceeds from the event to finance grassroots projects as well as kick start new initiatives that support HIV/AIDS, conservation and education in Kenya.

This year, the agenda includes a Classical Concert and an Opera Gala hosted by the Operaplayhouse, a small-scale opera theatre company specialising in intimate, unique and highly theatrical projects and performances.
